Ok to be fair, I did find a guru therapist (Yes they do exist, but unfortunately they are in very short supply) but too late for my Ironman debut. But he provided a huge gift for me, one that became the ‘aha’ moment…
See he was the ONLY therapist who didn’t treat just my ITB or a little bit on my glutes. I can tell you I went through the whole 9 yards. I had massage, I had physio, I had scans, xrays, cortisone, big needles attached to a tens machine deep into my glute (butt!), you name I had it done… I was desperate, but none of it got me more then 2k! The ‘aha’ Moment that Changed My Life
Right there and then I had to stop with the excuses, stop making them and just as importantly stop accepting them. I made it my mission to understand more about why treating my calves and glutes, had such a profound impact on my ITB.
I didn’t stop there though; I wanted to learn more about muscle tissue and biomechanics of the body and how it related to sport. I immersed myself!
So I Searched and Searched for the Solution…
